Julie has written six plays for the stage, working across political theatre, autoethnographic drama and women’s theatre. Her work has been produced at major venues and on national tour.

Research & Practice

Julie’s research interests include playwriting practice as research, autoethnographic plays, co-writing, political theatre and women’s theatre. She has participated in development programmes at the Royal Court, Paines Plough and the Performing Arts Lab, and has led playwriting programmes at the Theatre Royal Brighton and Chichester Theatre.
